Determination of tannin content in rhizomes of Comarum palustre L. and its tincture by spectrophotometric method.

Spectrophotometric analysis showed that C. palustre rhizomes contained 2.46 and 2.03%, whereas C. palustre tincture contained 0.164 and 0.134% condensed and monomeric catechin content, respectively. Inaccuracy measurements of not more than 5% and confidence probability of 95% were recorded for both tests.
