Capillariids, Capillaria incrassata and Capillaria konstantini (Nematoda, Capillariidae), from urinary bladder of shrews

Capillaria konstantini sp. nov. from the urinary bladders of Neomys fodiens (type host) and N. anomalus collected at the Voronezh Reserve (Central Russia) is described. Morphometric characteristics of males and females (34 characters) are given. Themale is 7.94 mm long; spicule, 89 mm long; 59 stichocytes; testis is located in front of the sphincter ejaculatory duct. The female is 9.05 mm long; 66 stichocytes; eggs (62 X 26.8μm) are long (shape index 42.6); oviduct extends to the ovary, or has a"distal position of the oviduct". Capillaria incrassata, a specific parasite from the urinary bladder of Sorex araneus (from the Voronezh and Khoper Reserves) is redescribed. The morphometric characteristics of males and females are described (34 characters). The male is 9.62 mm long; spicule, 0.85 mm long; 50 stichocytes; the sphincter ejaculatory duct is arranged on the same level towards the testis. The female is 10.73 mm long; 54 stichocytes; its eggs (58 X 27.3μm) are oval (shape index 47.2).
