Fifteen species of digger wasps of the genus Belomicroides Kohl 1899, distributed in Africa and adjacent regions of the Middle East, are mentioned in the generic revision of the world fauna. The lectotype of B. pictus Arnold 1927 is designated, an unknown female of B. arenarius Arnold 1960 is described and a key to identifying the species is provided.
