摘要

In this paper, K-band phase discriminator based on dual additive mixing direct conversion receiver architecture for land-mobile satellite communications is presented. The proposed architecture adopts two direct conversion receiver using additive mixing method to process sum and difference signals delivered from the multi-beam antenna feed network. Each direct conversion receiver individually derives an elevation angle error and an azimuth angle error with the sum signal as the reference. Also, the sum and difference signal paths include calibration circuits to ensure accurate angle derivations. The proposed architecture was verified by the axial anlge measurement based on the converted I and Q signals of elevation difference signal and azimuth difference signal at the satellite downlink frequency of 20 GHz.
