A Proposal and Experiment of the Sensory Substitution System using Body-Braille

摘要

We have developed a sensory substitution system which have 6-12 pieces of micro vibration motor. A handicapped person can sense braille characters by vibration at any parts of body, head, the back and so on. That is body-braille. This paper describes motor simultaneous number of vibrations, vibration time and relational of character recognition as fundamental experiment. In addition, we report it about designation from the remote that used portable telephone as an application experiment
