摘要

This paper presents how to examine a one-dimensional spatial correlation for data sampled randomly from a two-dimensional distribution. Techniques of easy positioning of sites sampled, of estimating spatial auto-correlation functions and oftransforming into power spectra are explained using measured data of terrestrial gamma-ray dose rates as an example. It is confirmed that the accuracy of the present techniques is quite all right. The shape of each spectrum is discussed in relation to its physical meaning. Directional distributions of the spectra are also described.
