摘要

We propose a novel Radio-over-Fiber multichannel wireless LAN distributed antenna system, which consists of a base station and plural remote antenna units. The base station has a wireless LAN access point function and an RF switch function, and can transmit any channels of the wireless LAN signal to arbitrary remote antenna units. This new structure provides simple remote antenna units, multichannel service (802.11 a, 11b, 11g), easy centralized maintenance, easy upgradability, flexible traffic management, and so on. In this paper, these new functions and some transmission performance of this system are introduced and the counteractions for the problems in multichannel transmission of wireless LAN signal are also described.
