摘要

We describe modulation characteristics of blue, green and yellow emitting organic light emitting diodes (OLEDs) using 4,4'-bis[N-(1-napthy1)-N-phenyl-amino]biphenyl, 8-hydroxyquinoline aluminum, 5,6,11,12-Tetraphenylnaphthacene (rubrene) as the emissive layer, respectively. Optical pulses of more than 100MHz were created by directly modulating an yellow emitting OELD with rubrene which has the advantages of low propagation loss in the polymer waveguide and the high emission intensity. We demonstrate that the OLEDs can be applied to fields of optical communication as the light source for transmitting the signals of moving picture.
