摘要

Data transmission quality decides performance of a digital communication system. The bit-error-rate (BER) and/or letter-error-rate (LER) is one of the scales to evaluate the transmission quality. In our previous works, a modified DataSlim2 with a corner-cube-array sheet was used as a spatial optical communication terminal, and its LER for 8bit single letter transmission has been detected. In general, with increasing the length of transmitted letters, the transmission quality of the communication system is attenuated because the probability of intersymbol interference becomes large. In this paper, dependence of the LER on the letter length and transmission frequencies are measured and evaluated.
