摘要

This paper presents the ASIC implementation for monitoring and control unit in intelligent electrical apparatus. Based on the analysis of its function, the parallel structure of ASIC is put forward. Function modules of ASIC are described and implemented using VHDL, which include data acquisition module, data processing module, protection module, and interface module utilizing address, data and control buses. On-chip bus is designed to connect all function modules. In order to improve the whole performance of the ASIC, optimizing methods are used. The result of hardware verification based on FPGA indicates that design is correct.
