摘要

We analyzed the effect of sound speed structure near ocean surface on sound propagation in a deep sound channel in the ocean, such as in ocean acoustic tomography (OAT), by using normal mode theory. The time structure of received pulse train in the deep sound channel varies in according to the sound speed structure near ocean surface. In the analysis of inverse problem in OAT, attention must be paid to the sound speed structure near ocean surface in the ocean area of interest.
