Tailoring and Measurements of Unsteady Pipe Flow

摘要

In order to study any arbitrary, time-dependent characteristics of unsteady flow in a pipe, a system composed of microcomputer, stepping motor, butterfly valve and hot wire anemometer was developed. This system makes it possible to generate pulsating flow and accelerating or decelerating flow with particular wave forms. The velocity and pressure distributions of some tailored unsteady flows are introduced.
