Industrial designers prefer to work on new product launches. That's because they have the freedom to define the "look and feel" of the total package. But the reality is that most "new" products are based on existing designs. So, it's actually more of a challenge for industrial designers to re-create products, especially if they're familiar ones. Unless, of course, they have the right set of al] tools.
