Stasskol Opens Houston Facility: Location will provide manufactured components to U.S., Canada and Latin America

Stasskol GmbH has established a manufacturing facility in Houston, expanding its facility footprint in the United States for the first time in the company's 100-year history. Stasskol, headquartered in Germany, manufactures application-specific sealing elements for reciprocating compressors and rotary machinery. Stasskol's Houston operation has the capability to manufacture a complete range of piston rod packing rings, oil wiper rings and piston and rider rings in both metallic and nonmetallic materials used in horizontal, vertical and vee-type compressors. The facility offers a full range of component designs either to customer specification or Stasskol standards. These will include one-piece and multipiece piston and rider rings, incorporating a range of pressure relief concepts suitable for single- and double-acting cylinders, conventional radial/tangent packing rings as well as Stasskol's patented single-seal packing ring.
