Propylene Plant Development: New processes make use of large compression trains

Global propylene capacity in 2005 was estimated to be 72 MM tpy (6.8 MM T/yr), 109 MM tpy (9.9 MM T/yr) in 2014 and forecasted to reach 165 MM tpy (1.5 MM T/yr) by 2030. Not only is the world capacity expected to more than double in a 25-year period, but production processes are also subject to rapid change.
