The pipeline workforce faces several challenges over the next few years. Unprecedented numbers of experienced staff with hands-on compressor-engine specific expertise are retiring. The replacements are a smaller, younger workforce tasked with more responsibilities but less time and opportunity to develop engine-specific expertise.
