In recent years, a study of electric vehicles is progressed, as a measure of environmental issues and fossil fuels depletion problem. Especially, in-wheel motors which are placed inside a wheel have got attention for freedom design of the car space and advantageous control of safe driving. This paper presents research to improve torque density of the in-wheel Switched Reluctance (SR) motor by considering about rotor pole shape.
