The Activity of International Organization in the Field of standardization of the Mechanical Testing of the Ceramics

A brief review of the basic directions of activity of the international organizations in the field of standardization of the methods of mechanical testing of the fine technical ceramics is presented.The standards developed by the ISO board are listed and some of them are described. The important role of preventative comparative testing organized by VAMAS at the stage of preparation of the national, regional and international standards is shown.
