The factor analysis of geochemical peculiarities of urban soils in Ukraine

The factor analysis of the distribution pattern of pollutants (Mn, Zn, Cu, Ni, Ph, Cd, Hg, F, and SO_4~(2-)) in the soils of Ukrainian industrial cities was performed with respect to the typology of urban landscapes. The assessment of the degree of pollution of urban soils is given. The geochemical peculiarities of soils in the main types of urban landscapes are analyzed and the main factors controlling them are revealed.
