Peculiarities of hydrothermic regime of the typical chernozem in conditions of the contour soil-protective agrolandscape.

A combination of contour forested strips located at a distance of 200 m from one another with artificial ridges created by the plough between the strips is proposed for the soil conservation of agricultural landscapes. Such an arrangement promotes an even distribution of snow and better soil moistening irrespective of the tillage method. Artificial ridges serve as 'wicks' through which active evaporation of excessive moisture takes place.
