摘要

In estimation of Target height over the sea in tracking Radar or traffic control Radar equipped momopulse antenna, it is well known that a bias and some large spiky errors are encountered because of interference between the direct and reflected signals. In this paper, the high resolution target height estimation method using array antenna with frequency hopping based on maximum likelihood method is proposed. The proposed method is able to be alleviated the multipath fading and to estimate the target height by a one dimensional search. The relationships between the estimated errors and S/N or the error of effective earth radius factor are presented by numerical experiment. We may say that significant improvement by the proposed method is feasible.
