摘要

Liquefied natural gas (LNG) imports will play an increasingly critical role in Mexico's fuels mix, the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) has reported. EIA noted that Mexico is a net importer of natural gas, mostly via pipeline from the United States, and its demand is rising along with greater use of the fuel for power generation. Increased pipeline shipments, in turn, portend opportunities for gas compression firms. "Mexico has considerable natural gas resources, but its production pales in comparison to other North American countries and the development of its unconventional shale gas resources is proceeding slowly," the energy agency said.
