摘要

The main concepts are presented and the task of optimization of the depth of transition from opencast to underground method of the development of kimberlite deposits is formulated, on condition of maximum of clean discount income. Analytical relationships between optimal quarry depth (from one side) and geometrical size of ore body, general inclination angle of quarry side and profitability of its operation (from other side) are established. Analytical solutions are presented and main regularities of the task of depth optimization of transition from opencast to underground mining works are formulated.
