Atomic force microscope as a multipurpose device for measuring physical quantities in mesoscopic length scale

摘要

Literature date on recent achievements in atomic force microscopy used for precise measurement of different physical quantities and fields on the solid state surface has been reviewed. New constructions of micromechanical cantilevers and their application as physical, chemical and biological sensors have been considered.
