Time-interval analyzing NB0400 picosecond streak tube with large format photocathode and picosecond temporal resolution

摘要

A new time-interval analyzing streak tube with the photocathode of 4×40 mm{sup}2 size is designed for the investigation of dynamic optical radiation spectra with a time resolution down to 2 ps and spatial resolution up to 35 lp/mm. The four-electrode design is adopted for a tube electron-optical system. A fine mesh accelerating electrode is placed at a distance of ～1 mm from the photocathode. A pair of deflecting plates are equipped with an electron trap, providing beam blanking.
