AN UPDATE FROM THE EDITORS OF CLINICAL AND EXPERIMENTAL PHARMACOLOGY AND PHYSIOLOGY

It is now 2 years since we officially began our tenure as co-Editors-in-Chief of Clinical and Experimental Pharmacology and Physiology (CEPP). In 2007, we introduced a raft of new initiatives, including the appointment of a panel of expert Subject Editors, the appointment of an Editorial Advisory Panel to oversee the performance of the editorial team, a redesigned front cover for the print version of the journal and the publication of editorial commentaries on papers of particular interest.' In May 2008, the editorial team and representatives from the publishers (Wiley-Blackwell) attended a 2 day meeting in Shanghai, to assess the performance of the journal and plot a new course for its further development. It therefore seemed timely that we should report on the progress of the journal over the past few years and the new initiatives we have for 2009 and beyond#
