Liquid and powder varnishes used as primer and protective layer at the three-layered metal-varnish coating application are comparatively analyzed. Application advantage of the powder varnish allowing to apply coatings on the most complicated articles having more luster, moisture resistance and mechanical strength is shown. Examples of coating production using magnetron and arc spraying are given.
