Integrated digital control system for steam turbine and generator units

摘要

Recent movement for free competition in the electric power market requires thermal power generating equipment to be low in price as well as highly reliable. The steam turbine and generator unit has two master control systems a governor for turbine speed control and an AVR for generator voltage control. Fuji Electric developed an integrated digital control system (TGR) which integrated these two systems and has marketed the TGR over ten years. This paper describes the control functions and system configuration of the TGR as well as coordination with an advanced, open, supervisory system that uses the new open network FL-net between controllers.
