摘要

Cell life of over 40 000-hours is targeted for commercialization of the molten carbonate fuel cell. A prediction method for the cell life is now required. The cell performance is analyzed from voltage losses caused by ohmic and reaction resistance as well as cross over and short circuits. The prediction methods for the decrease in cell performance are developed using a model of changes in each voltage loss over time. The parameters of each model are obtained from the electrolyte loss and/or structural changes in the cell components. The reaction resistance is simulated using the two methods.
