Countermeasures for radiation protection of angiographers in interventional radiology

Radiation protection methods for the angiographers and interventionalists were described. Occupational environment effective for radiation protection should be provided for angiographers during the interventional procedure. The use of protection clothes, thyroid protection collars and protection glass is effective for radiation protection of angiographers. Sufficient protection effect can be also obtained by just practicing the basic techniques such as holding I.I. close to patients and narrow the collimator. Radiation protection of patients is closely connected with that of angiographers.
