Design-concepts of the analog and digital functional converters (FC) based upon sine/cosine revolving transformers, which are compact, reliable and rather precise electrical micromachines, are systematized. Classification and specific FC circuitsare presented, which give an idea of their potentialities. The ways of improving their metrological characteristics are discussed.
