摘要

This paper presents a new approach to blind prediction of received signal-to-noise ratio for m-ary PSK modulated waves. The received signal is sliced at the Nyquist instance, and processed as a stochastic variable. Based on the particular constellations of PSK signals, their higher-order moments are formulated as well as Gaussian noise. A unique functional that uses the m-th order moment of the received signal is proposed and explained to have the functionality of SNR predictor prior to data recognition. Computer simulations show the ensemble behavior of the proposed functional for finite data lengths with presence of substantial additive Gaussian noise.
