We calculated the BEW (Blurred Edge Width) for Motion Picture Quality Evaluation to check the accuracy of BEW that is measured considering the Human Vision. We applied response model of LC(Liquid Crystal) for IPS (In-Plane-Switching) Display Mode. As a result, BEW gradually decreased at a very fast LC response time, and reached a constant value because of Hold type Displaying Mode. And BEW increased because LC response characteristic played a dominant role at a slow LC response time. Under the condition what are standard flame rate (60Hz) and Higher-frame rate, we learned that both calculated BEW and measured BEW are almost same value on same frame rate, and that improvement of Motion Picture Quality at 4-times higher frame rate.
