Telework experiment using multipoint teleconferencing system over the Internet

摘要

In these several years, the high-speed Internet services have spread at ordinary homes. This enables the casual use of video and audio communication to the ordinary consumers. This paper reports a telework experiment which we are conducting on such Internet environment. Using a multipoint teleconferencing system, which allows users to communicate with voice, video, and text, and to share documents, a group of people, who are usually working together at the same office, worked at home periodically. We discuss about the issues on teleworking based on the findings from the experiment.
