Russian top gun: Exercise 'Aviadarts'

The final stage of the second edition of the 'Aviadarts' gunnery competition, involving all Russian Air Force branches, took place in the last week of May. Combat Aircraft was on scene to report. THE CONCLUSION TO 'Aviadarts' saw the participation of as many as 71 aircrews, a significant increase compared to 2013 when the figure was 50. Participants flew from three airfields: Lipetsk (hosting all tactical jets), Voronezh-Baltimor (helicopters) and Ryazan-Dyagilevo (heavy bombers and transports).
