Development of thin filler pigment for foundation use application cake

Required properties for foundation use are softness with comfortable touch, good adhesive property on skin and good holding effect of make-up on face. As body pigment for foundation use, thin filler pigment such as talc with good extensive property and mica with good adhesive property have used for adding good comfortable property. Recently, to produce healthy beauty by make·up, it is requested making up with natural feeling, having strong hiding effect of wrinkles, high cutting effect of UV for protection of skin and good moistening property as functional properties of foundation. Pearlpigment coated with ultra fine titanium dioxide on mica is noticed as thin filler pigment having above mentioned several properties. In this report, overview of recent research and developments concerning thin filler pigments applying preparation method of pearl·pigment for foundation use are reported.
