Insectotoxicity of lectins against insect pests on cotton

摘要

It has been isolated insecticidal mannose -- specific-lectins from different plants and purified by affinity chromotography. In was established, that plant lectins have anti-insect activity against cotton insect pests in artificial diet. It is also determined correlation between agglutinating capability of lectins with microsnspending tissue of insect guts and their toxicity. It may be useful in the screening of insecticidal lectins.
