Investigation on the fiberboard formulation for mass trapping using the synthetic sex pheromone for the yellowish elongate chafer, Heptophylla picea motschulsky (coleoptera: scarabaeidae)

ome kinds of fiberboard formulation for mass trapping using synthetic sex pheromone, (Z)-7, 15-hexadecadien-4-olide, of yellowish elongate chafer, Heptophylla picea, were tested in a berry field. The fiberboard loaded with 0.5g of DDVP and 10 mg of the synthetic sex pheromone, had the attraction activity and insecticide activity more than a month. And the fiberboard hung on some height was able to catch more males than that set on the ground.
