In an attempt to meet the recent demand for a smaller and lighter power supply unit with less maintenance costs for tele-communication uses, a forced air cooling type 48V-50A single-phase, high power factor switching power supply unit, which features a built-in micro-computer for better maintenance operation through communication with the main control circuit, and a 53% volume and 45% weight as compared to a corresponding one of a natural cooling type.
