Ontogenesis of Ferula L. species

Data of 14 West Tien Shah species of Ferula L. ontogenesis are presented. It was proved that there is no immature period in mono- and polycarpes. Monocarpes have a longer pregenerative period, but generative period is short, without G_1, G_2 and G_3 ages. There is no senile period. Short shoots formed during last 3--6 years is a sign of polycarpes senile period. The individual live is off after this. It can be explained by old phyletic lines of mono- and polycarpes.
