Data are presented on the sorption kinetics, the kinetic constant, and the coefficient of internal diffusion of phosphate in a dernopodzolic soil and a grey forest soil. After 30 min the interaction kinetics of sorption resulted in diffusion of phosphate in soil particles. The coefficient of internal diffusion varied in the range 10-9-10-13 cm2/s depending on the soil type. Comparison of the analyses of the kinetic constant of sorption showed how in the investigated soils they have some significance, varying with genetic horizon in their use as estimates of phosphate in soil.
