Male sterile pentaploid Dendranthema yoshinaganthum 'Lapin

摘要

Male sterile pentaploid Dendranthema yoshinaganthum 'Lapin' was bred from the germplasm collection of wild chrysanthemum in Kagawa University. Reciprocal crossings were done among some octaploid and tetraploid D. yoshinaganthum lines. Male sterile hexaploids appeared and one of them was crossed again with an early flowering tetraploid line. Among the seedlings, a superior male sterile line was selected and registered as 'Lapin in MAFF， Japan (no.18311) in 2009.
