The supply of Russian gas to Armenia through Georgia was stopped on 9th January according to an official from "ArmRosgazprom", Shushan Sardaryan. She says that, according to the Georgians, they had to stop the flow through the pipeline so that they could repair a section between the compressor stations at Saguramo, a short distance north of Tbilisi, and Kazakh in Azerbaijan, from where the pipeline passes through Dilizhan, Sevan and Charantsevan to Yerevan. This pipeline originates at Vladikavkaz in Russia and passes through Tbilisi on its way to Armenia.
