摘要

Related to the test methods for evaluating the thermal shock resistance of refractory materials, a new method has been developed that simulates the actual casting process. Related to the different preheat temperatures, it was observed that the nature of crack generation, at the beginning of the casting operation, varied. The test method described in this paper makes it possible to better simulate the crack generation situation for actual field operations, than the other, conventional testing methods.
