摘要

To effectively consume greenhouse gases, methane and carbon dioxide, in the traditional steam methane reforming (SMR) process, a carbon dioxide reforming of methane (CDRM) over high reactivity Ni-based catalysts is added. Based on a new combination of two reforming processes using extra energy, the hydrogen yield is improved and greenhouse gases emissions are suppressed. Using the heat exchanger network (HEN) technique to ensure the maximum heat recovery, it has been shown that the optimal heat integration could contribute to reduce capital and operating costs.
