Physical model of cooling thermoelement with a developed heat exchange system is described.Theory of calculation and computer methods to seek for optimal functions of the legs materialinhomogeneity combined with a search for optimal parameters (electric current density, heatconsumption) under which thermodynamic efficiency of power conversion will be maximum arediscussed. Optimal inhomogeneity distribution for Bi2Te3 based material is given. Rational useof such power converters has been shown to increase coefficient of performance by 40-60%.
