摘要

A Morel-Lavallee lesion (MLL) is an uncommon superficial seroma resulting from a closed degloving injury in which the skin is sheared away from underlying tissues. Vascular and lymphatic disruption results in a painful fluid collection that does not self-resolve and often develops a pseudocapsule. Traditionally, larger MLLs have been surgically debrided, often requiring multiple procedures, whereas smaller lesions have been treated more conservatively with compresses (1,2). Several authors have reported percutaneous treatment for MLLs of various sizes with drainage and surgical or percutaneous sclerodesis (2-4). We describe the treatment of a MLL with image-guided short-term drain placement and alcohol sclerodesis. At our institution, individual case reports do not need to be reviewed by the institutional review board.
