Subchondral cyst formation is characteristic of osteoarthri-tis. These cysts normally arise in the subchondral bone adjacent to a joint and may or may not cause symptoms. The treatment options for the consequent pain are limited (1). Percutaneous osteoplasty (POP) as an extension of percutaneous vertebroplasty (PVP) is used to treat malignant osteolytic lesions, which can lead to immediate and permanent pain relief. We report a case of a symptomatic subchondral cyst at the talus that was successfully treated with POP.
