Figure 1: An App Review

摘要

Figure 1 is a mobile-first network of hundreds of thousands of healthcare professionals sharing and discussing medical cases. Dr. Joshua Landy, a critical care medicine specialist, and Gregory Levey, a professor of communication at Ryerson University, founded it in 2013. Figure 1 has been labeled "Instagram for doctors" by the mainstream media. This description can be both accurate and misleading. The interface works in a similar way to Instagram; images are uploaded onto a stream with text captions and comments underneath. Unlike Instagram though, those uploading images are required to follow strict rules on what is and is not acceptable.
