Imi midlands regional meeting bite mark photography, wolverhampton medical institute, 12 th April 2011

Mr Sam Evans, Chief Clinical Photographer at the Cardiff University School of Dentistry, hosted the meeting that was attended by 15 IMI members, representing a wide spread of membership grades. After a coffee and doughnut reception, the meeting began with a talk that took us through the definition, epidemiology, morphology and analysis of bite marks. From this talk, I learned that the primary function of bite mark photography is to collect evidence of the bite mark characteristics to allow appropriately trained persons to analyse the bite marks at a later date.
